Austin Gun Club is a Christ-centered, family owned and operated gun club & hunting preserve where members can introduce their family, friends, & clients to the sport of hunting & shooting at a unique venue.
It is our goal is to be the premier private hunting & shooting club in Central Texas through on-going land management, returning the land to its natural habitat with native grasses ideal for upland birds while educating our members and their guest about our land conservation efforts along with the sports of hunting and shooting.
In 2003 Mike Tyson, an avid bird hunter and dog trainer, founded Upland Bird Hunting, Inc. as a dog training club. In the fall of 2004 Mike met Julie Clark and after extensive collaboration along with friend & adviser, Brett Bowman, they formed a partnership in opening the Clark’s 1,000 acre ranch in Lake Victor. The fall of 2005 saw the club expand into a full service gun club and hunting preserve with its first club members. In 2008 the club members voted to formally change our name to Austin Gun Club reflecting our service to the Austin community. Expansion of the club continues with the opening of its long-range rifle range and new pistol bay for tactical training that are currently nearing completion.
